Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is inviting representatives from the VCSE sector in the county to a Health & Wellbeing collaboration event in February 2024.
This event will help GCC to draw together discussions and continue the journey that they embarked upon in their last Stakeholder get together earlier this year.
NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board presently contracts with 5 providers for the provision of Community Wellbeing Services. The current contracts end on 30 September 2024.
They are holding two identical market engagement events to explore more effective ways of commissioning the service, how they can utilise the available budget and look at potential models for commissioning/delivering community based support going forward.
Training aimed at upskilling front line professionals to recognise and engage with perpetrators of Domestic Abuse is now avaliable in Gloucestershire.
Earlier this year Gloucestershire OPCC successfully bid for funding via the Home Office Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Fund. Following a competitive process, they have awarded The Hampton Trust as their partner to deliver this training.
Today marks the beginning of Trustees' Week and we're encouraging VCSE sector groups & organisations across the county to join us to celebrate the difference trustees make within Gloucestershire. We have a range of free events running throughout the week and will be sharing links to online resources, stories from the sector and more on our social media accounts.
If you can't attend one of our events, here's some ideas about how you can get involved online:
Help us to shape a new training and development programme for the VCSE sector in the county around “Conversations for Change”.
We recognise that opening up conversations with individuals about health improvements they can make can be challenging. We are developing a series of training and coaching support sessions for you and your staff team to be able to have these conversations more effectively.
We're delighted to announce that Sophie Wilding from Imperial Haus will be talking about how local influencers can work for your group/organisation at our Social Media Academy in December.
Sophie appeared on the BBC's Apprentice TV programme and will join speakers from businesses across Gloucestershire during a day of bespoke social media training sessions for the VCSE sector in the county.
Free training is being offered to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector partners working with people with mental health needs in Gloucestershire.
The course is designed to develop mental health crisis care awareness and aims to build on your experience and knowledge of working with people presenting with mental health problems in crisis.
