The Gloucestershire VCSE Strategic Partnership provides overall direction and governance of VCSE sector engagement in the county with the One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System.

Members are elected by and work within the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire and aim to act as catalysts and connectors, promoting the role and involvement of VCSE sector groups, organisations and communities in tackling long-term health inequalities in the county. They also work alongside VCSE sector representatives who represent the voice of the local VCSE sector at joint boards, in partnership meetings and in public sector workstreams.

The VCSE sector in Gloucestershire and One Gloucestershire ICS have committed to new ways of working together based on a set of shared values and commitments laid out in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).  The MoU is about more than deliverables; it is a commitment to a long-term partnership. It describes how both sectors will collaborate to make Gloucestershire a better and healthier place to live and work by listening to communities and each other, making smarter use of data to inform decisions, and planning and designing services together.

Gloucestershire VCSE Strategic Partnership Election 2025

Nominations for members of the Gloucestershire VCSE Strategic Partnership open on 30 April 2025. We are looking for individuals who have big ambitions for what the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire can achieve by working together with the public sector to tackle health inequalities in our communities.

Who can stand for election?

Nominations are welcome from people within the VCSE sector in Gloucestershire. You must be from an organisation that supports people’s health and wellbeing (for example a community hub, arts and recreation, through providing accommodation, or enabling people to experience nature). You could be in a paid or voluntary post or you could be a trustee.

This could be your first step into a strategic role, or you could be a seasoned leader. What’s important is that you are willing to bring your life and work experience to making Gloucestershire a fairer, healthier place to be. We are especially looking for people from smaller organisations and those that work with under-represented communities.
