Course overview
Creating an inclusive culture within your organisation is not just a great thing to do but can bring competitive advantage in recruiting and retaining staff or volunteers. During this session, Lucy will:
- Explore neurodiversity and neurodivergent conditions
- Share tips to create a neurodiverse friendly organisation
- Highlight practical tips to support staff, service users or clients
- Discuss the law and reasonable adjustments in the workplace
Trainer information
Lucy Smith is an award-winning social entrepreneur and founder of Inclusive Change, a purpose driven organisation that has a mission to build the future of work with neurodiversity in mind. Whilst her passion is driven from personal lived experience in a neurodivergent family Lucy has a 35-year career that includes change leadership and management across a range of roles from law enforcement to higher education.
As a change manager she worked with strategic leaders to help them deliver transformational change and now applies this to her work in making a difference in the community. Lucy is also known for her engaging and energetic style, providing insights on her lived experience as a leader of a neurodivergent focussed organisation with plenty of stories from a varied career - she has even been a professional fairy!
