Course overview
While all organisations have similar HR needs and challenges, in a VCSE group or organisation, finding solutions to these issues can prove to be difficult. The most common obstacle for small organisations is not having a dedicated and experienced HR employee. In most cases, HR responsibilities fall on the charity CEO or other senior members of the organisation.
Go Volunteer Glos and Gloucestershire VCS Alliance are jointly hosting this interactive HR ‘Masterclass’ designed specifically to help small VCSE groups and organisations to strengthen their HR policies and practices.
The workshop will be led by HR specialists from Connected Kerb, a leading business working with Gloucestershire County Council to install Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure across the county.
Stephanie Robinson and Helen Saunders, People Partner specialists at Connected-Kerb will be exploring the role of HR and the positive impact from a business perspective and how this translates to VCSE groups and organisations.
During the session, you will get to hear about the latest HR trends employers whether large or small need to consider, and address topics such as:
- Legal Compliance and essential policies
- Adopting a people-centred HR strategy and improving employee experience
- Adapting to a distributed workforce
Stephanie and Helen will also open the floor for a Question & Answer session, allowing you to learn from others in the sector.
Please note this is an information and learning masterclass and not an advisory session, so please ensure you bring general questions only about HR matters and not identifiable or specific about your organisation or employees.
