Course Overview
Join Andy Baldrain from The Cyber Resilience Centre (for the South West) to:
- Tackle some of the most common cybersecurity misconceptions in our Cyber Mythbusters segment, debunking myths and providing practical solutions.
- Focus on VCSE sector specific problems and address the unique cybersecurity challenges faced by VCSE groups & organisations.
- Cover the NCSC Pillars, key principles from the National Cyber Security Centre to help your group/organisation establish a strong security foundation.
- Watch a live demo of the Email Checker Tool, a simple but powerful way to verify email authenticity and prevent phishing attacks.
Andy will also open the floor for a Question & Answer session, allowing you to ask questions specific to your organisation’s needs and learn from others in the sector.
Trainer Information
Andy has had 30+ years in the software industry, having done everything from running a 6-man start-up to a 600+ global engineering organisation. More recently, Andy did a master’s in cyber security at UWE as he believes that all software leaders will need to understand the issues around cyber security.
Andy is now doing a PhD in cyber security at the university of Bristol. His research area is around how to help developers build privacy-preserving secure IoT and smart home devices.
