Not quite sure what ESV is, or whether it’s right for your group/organisation?

Find out more from our team by catching up on the Nicky Price show that was aired on 16 September 2024.

The Gloucestershire Volunteering Collaborative (GVC) has launched a comprehensive new ESV guide, toolkit and case studies today.

The guide is designed to help employers to understand the benefits of ESV for their companies, employees, and the local community.

Joanna Scott (Gloucestershire VCS Alliance Business Connector) speaking at Moog 'showcase' event in July

Moog Aircraft Control Components Ltd (Moog) hosted an Employee Volunteering ‘showcase’ event in partnership with Gloucestershire VCS Alliance at Moog’s new UK HQ in Tewkesbury on 30 July.

Ten organisations from VCSE groups & organisations in Tewkesbury were invited to attend a ‘breakfast’ event showcasing their work in the community, and the range of volunteering opportunities they have to offer.

This month, Ben Ward and Jo Hammond shared information about how the Cotswold Integrated Locality Partnership has been tackling the key issues of social isolation and frailty amongst older people, and supporting children & young people facing additional challenges.

This work was given a significant boost through the use of the Strengthening Local Communities fund, which totalled nearly £120,000.

Words: Gloucestershire VCSE Strategic Partnership

Minutes from the Gloucestershire VCSE Strategic Partnership are now available on the In Partnership website.

The In Partnership website runs alongside the Gloucestershire VCS Alliance website and houses information about the Partnership and their work.

The recent surge in racist violence across the country is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. As the Gloucestershire VCS Alliance, we stand united in condemning these acts of hate and intimidation.

We extend our solidarity to all those affected by these horrific events.

We're also delighted to launch the third in our series of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training courses and workshops this Autumn.

It can often be difficult to have a confident conversation about race, different cultures and backgrounds, for fear of getting it wrong. Our Safe Space to Talk Race presentational workshop offers some different thinking, understanding and approaches in tacking this delicate topic. Places are fully funded for VCSE sector groups & organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire.
