Youth Support Services
Gloucestershire County Council is recommissioning Youth Support Services in the county for delivery from 1 July 2024. A competitive tender process will be carried out to seek suppliers that are able to deliver the following integrated statutory and partnership services:
- Youth Justice: Youth Offending Team, Children First diversion and crime prevention
- Post-16 education, employment, and training: whole-cohort destination tracking
- Information, advice, and guidance for all NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)
- Children and young people missing from home or care: return interviews, high risk cases
- Early Help Youth Work with referred clients and casework in locality teams
- Outdoor activities interventions and D of E licence delivery to clients and special schools?
- Young People’s Substance Misuse Treatment Service: treatment and consultations
- Physical, Mental, Speech and Language: health assessments, interventions, and consultations
- Sexual Health coordination and Teenage Pregnancy/Young Parent ongoing support
- Expert input into Children and Families teams: exploitation, extra-familial harm, HSB
- Housing advice and support for homeless young people and those leaving care
- Locality based universal, open access youth offer
- Countywide Targeted youth offer
