Gloucestershire County Council is recommissioning Youth Support Services in the county for delivery from 1 July 2024.
A competitive tender process will be carried out to seek suppliers that are able to deliver the following integrated statutory and partnership services:
- Youth Justice: Youth Offending Team, Children First diversion and crime prevention
- Post-16 education, employment, and training: whole-cohort destination tracking
- Information, advice, and guidance for all NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)
- Children and young people missing from home or care: return interviews, high risk cases
- Early Help Youth Work with referred clients and casework in locality teams
- Outdoor activities interventions and D of E licence delivery to clients and special schools?
- Young People’s Substance Misuse Treatment Service: treatment and consultations
- Physical, Mental, Speech and Language: health assessments, interventions, and consultations
- Sexual Health coordination and Teenage Pregnancy/Young Parent ongoing support
- Expert input into Children and Families teams: exploitation, extra-familial harm, HSB
- Housing advice and support for homeless young people and those leaving care
- Locality based universal, open access youth offer
- Countywide Targeted youth offer
Market Engagement Event
The County Council is organising a Market Engagement Event on 9 October 2023, from 1:30 pm to 3;30 pm at Gloucestershire Heritage Hub, Dunrossil Room, Clarence Row, Alvin Street, Gloucester, GL1 3DW. This event will allow you as suppliers to understand GCC’s commissioning intentions and timeframes for the recommissioning process. Suppliers are welcome to ask questions of commissioners during the event.
