About the Digital Hubs Project
Since its inception in 2021, the Digital Hubs project has successfully supported over 7,000 Gloucestershire residents in improving their digital literacy. The project provides community builders and resources to help residents access technology, including assistance with video calling, social media, online shopping, booking appointments, and job searching
Funding details
The Digital Hubs Community Partner Fund offers up to £22,497 for each district per year until March 2027 to support the development, launch, and continuation of Digital Hubs in Cotswold and Cheltenham. The selected community partner/ or partners for each district will be responsible for recruiting and training community builders, establishing strong networks, developing Digital Hubs, and contributing to the ongoing co-production of project resources
Project aims
- Social Opportunities: Connect citizens to online social activities and keep them connected to friends and loved ones.
- Access to Services: Help citizens access services such as Citizen Advice, online shopping, banking, and the NHS app.
- IT Support: Provide a trusted and safe place for people to access the internet, improve digital literacy, and get support.
- Outreach Support: Offer dedicated outreach support for communities with specific digital needs.
