Event overview
Dame Janet Trotter OBE DBE CVO (Chair of the Gloucestershire Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Coalition), Ann James (GCC Executive Director of Children's Services) and Matt Lennard (CEO, Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance) invite you to this collaborative event focused on strengthening partnerships and driving meaningful change in our community.
This event aims to build greater trust, identify common ground, and explore opportunities for innovation in how we work together. The event will be attended by VCSE organisations delivering services to Children and Young People (CYP) as well as senior leaders from Gloucestershire County Council.
The event objectives are:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the roles we all play within our CYP ecosystem.
- Build stronger, trust-based relationships that support collaborative efforts.
- Explore creative and constructive ways forward.
- Identify common ground while valuing our differences and recognising shared challenges.
- Discover opportunities to improve how we serve our communities.
- Define clear next steps and actions for future collaboration.
We would like the session to be conversational to provide opportunities to discuss the real issues that impact Gloucestershire CYP and develop solutions by working in partnership.
Discussion themes will include:
- Strengthening relationships and understanding contributions to coalitions and partnerships.
- Ensuring accountable representation and demonstrable outcomes.
- Moving from discussions to tangible actions that align with the One Plan.
- Reflecting on past successes while maintaining honest and forward-thinking dialogue.
- Addressing ongoing challenges and identifying solutions.
- Understanding procurement, outcome-based, asset-based, and relationship-based commissioning.
- Recognising and celebrating positive examples, such as short breaks, HAF, and local awards.
This event will be independently facilitated by Anne Brinkhoff to ensure engaging discussions and effective outcomes. Please encourage members of your team to join us for this important discussion and to contribute to shaping our collaborative efforts moving forward.
Please book your place by noon on 18 April 2025.
