The Gloucestershire Volunteering Collaborative (GVC) has launched a comprehensive new ESV guide, toolkit and case studies today. The guide is designed to help employers to understand the benefits of ESV for their companies, employees, and the local community.
Moog Aircraft Control Components Ltd (Moog) hosted an Employee Volunteering ‘showcase’ event in partnership with Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance at Moog’s new UK HQ in Tewkesbury on 30 July. Ten organisations from VCSE groups & organisations in Tewkesbury were invited to attend a ‘breakfast’ event showcasing their work in the community, and the range of volunteering opportunities they have to offer.
This month, Ben Ward and Jo Hammond shared information about how the Cotswold Integrated Locality Partnership has been tackling the key issues of social isolation and frailty amongst older people, and supporting children & young people facing additional challenges. This work was given a significant boost through the use of the Strengthening Local Communities fund, which totalled nearly £120,000.
