Mental Health & Wellbeing in Gloucestershire
We work with a range of partners to support the mental health and wellbeing in Gloucestershire.
This includes offering free mental health & wellbeing support to individuals that work/volunteer within local VCSE groups & organisations in the county.
The Wellbeing Line
The Wellbeing Line offers free and confidential mental health & wellbeing support for anyone working in Health & Social Care in Gloucestershire. It is a psychologically led service for any individual in any role who is feeling worried, anxious or depressed, as well as free consultations for managers (this includes team leaders, managers and anyone who is line managing others). No prior application is required.
Individuals can make initial contact with The Wellbeing Line by calling 0300 421 7500, for a supportive and non-judgmental conversation. They will then work together with a psychologist to make sense of what is going on and think about possible ways forward, which may include further support and, in some cases, further clinical assessment with a clinical psychologist.
Managers and team leaders can call 0300 421 7500 or email
The Wellbeing Line service is confidential and completely independent of employers (line management/HR/occupational health), GPs and Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance. Nothing is written in any personal records. Below are some posters that you can send to your team or display on noticeboards within your group/organisation:

Gloucestershire VCSE Mental Health Forums
As part of Gloucestershire County Council’s Mental Health Advice and Support Service, Rethink Mental Illness is establishing and developing VCSE Mental Health Forums in five localities across the county (Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Forest and TWNS and Cotswolds). The purpose of these forums is to bring together VCSE and statutory organisations that provide support for people with mental ill health, and Experts by Experience (EBE), to develop pathways, identify training and provision gaps and coproduce solutions to local need.
