    Funding amount and term: up to £50,000.  
    Funding for: innovative ideas that benefit their community.

    Funding priorities: financial wellbeing and climate action.

  • Enovert Community Trust   

    Funding amount and term: up to £50,000.  
    Funding for: community and environmental projects that enhance community sports and recreation facilities. 
    Who can apply: non-profit organisations, constituted organisations or groups within 10 miles of a landfill site operated by Enovert Management Limited or within 10 miles of a waste facility managed by the company. This includes Cheltenham (GL52 7RS), Cirencester (GL7 1YG), Gloucester (GL2 5FR) and Lydney (GL14 4EJ).  
    Funding priorities: it is important to demonstrate how your proposal will benefit your community. 
    Any other information: there are five key criteria for projects here. 
    Deadlines: 5 September 2025 and 5 December 2025.

  • HDH Wills Charitable Foundation 

    Funding amount and term: small grants between £500 and £5,000 through the Martin Wills Wildlife Maintenance Trust. 
    Funding for: conservation and maintenance of the natural environment and its indigenous woodland flora and fauna.  
    Who can apply: general, environmental and wildlife charities. 
    Funding priorities: as above.

  • John Ellerman Foundation

    Funding amount and term: between £30,000 and £150,000.
    Funding for: three strands – arts, environment and social action.
    Who can apply: UK-registered charities with an income between £100,000 and £10 million.
    Funding priorities: to make a difference, with as wide an impact as possible.

  • Nineveh Charitable Trust

    Funding amount and term: grants average around £6,000.
    Funding for: projects and activities that promote a better understanding of the environment and countryside, whilst facilitating improved access, education and research.
    Who can apply: UK registered charities or Community Interest Companies.
    Funding priorities: projects that align with the Trust’s objectives – the health, welfare and education of the public; the study and appreciation of agriculture, silviculture, ecology and land management that also encourages conservation.

  • Sea-Changers Main Grants Programme

    Funding amount and term: up to £2,500 and small grants of £500 are also available.
    Funding for: projects and research that address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
    Who can apply: marine conservation charities and not-for-profit organisations, plus schools.
    Funding priorities:
     grassroots projects which galvanise community action and projects increasing the number of people taking action for marine conservation.

    Annual deadlines: 30 September 2025 and 31 March 2026 (same dates every year). Small grant applications can be made at any time.

  • Stroud Town Council funding

    Funding amount and term:on average £2,000.
    Funding for:supporting smaller or new charities to be more sustainable and to appeal for new facilities or activities.  
    Who can apply:small local charities in South Gloucestershire.
    Funding priorities:supporting homelessness, poverty, health and disability across all ages.
