Ford Britain Trust

Funding for: supports projects focusing on education, the environment, children, the disabled, youth activities and initiatives that benefit local communities close to Ford’s UK locations.
Who can apply: state schools, special schools, not-for-profit organisations, youth organisations and community groups.

Any other information: applications supported by a Ford employee or former employee receive a higher rating.
Deadlines: small grant applications have funding windows from 1 August to 31 October and 1 December to 28 February. Large grant applications can be submitted between 1 September to 31 January. -
Gloucestershire Community Foundation SWEF Awards Grants
Funding amount and term: up to £2,000.
Funding for: support with business start-up costs or an existing business.
Who can apply: young people aged 18 to 30 who live in Gloucestershire.

Any other information: funds can be used for equipment, materials, stock or services you need to support your business.

Funding for: financial support for people in need, including community nurses and retired nurses, plus assistance for community nursing provision.

Gloucestershire Disability Fund
Funding amount and term: up to £1,000 for individuals and £2,500 for organisations.
Funding for: people of any age with a special or exceptional need arising from having a disability to help them navigate life’s challenges.
Who can apply: charitable non-profit organisations or groups supporting people living with a physical, sensory or learning disability.
Funding priorities: as above.
Any other information: all applications for disability equipment must be supported by an assessment of need and suitability prepared by a qualified education, health or social care professional.

GroceryAid
Funding amount and term: unclear.
Funding for: urgent financial need.
Who can apply: grocery sector workers who’ve experienced a sudden loss of income.

Any other information: open to anyone who works for a supermarket, wholesaler, manufacturer, supplier, convenience store, independent grocer, petrol forecourt store or service provider to the grocery industry.

Happy Days Children’s Charity
Funding amount and term: unclear.
Funding for: trips, respite breaks and group activity holidays for disadvantaged children and young people with additional needs aged three to 17-years-old.
Who can apply: parents, guardians, grandparents or siblings, as well as GPs, consultants, nurses or social workers.

Any other information: examples of organisations supported in the past include SEN schools and groups, young carers and women’s refuges.

John Lewis and Waitrose Community Matters

Magic Breakfast programme

Who can apply: schools with at least 35% of pupils recorded as eligible for pupil premium.

Morrisons Foundation Charitable Grants
Funding amount and term: up to £10,000.
Funding for: projects which help to improve people’s lives in communities.

Funding priorities: the Foundation's objectives are: 1. Tackling poverty and social deprivation; 2. Enhancing community spaces, facilities and services; and 3. Improving health and wellbeing. Charities applying should ensure their project meets at meets at least one of the funding objectives.

Moto in The Community Trust
Funding amount and term: the average grant awarded is £1,000, though larger grants may be agreed.
Funding for: projects and activities that deliver benefits to local communities.
Who can apply: charities, schools and community organisations operating within a 15-mile radius of a Moto Motorway Services site.
Funding priorities: projects should directly benefit the communities where Moto is present or where it has a significant staff catchment.
Any other information: applications should be endorsed by a Moto colleague or someone directly employed by Moto Hospitality Ltd.

National Lottery UK Fund
Funding amount and term: from £500,000 to £5 million.
Funding for: projects that help bring diverse communities together or help children and young people use their voice to influence change.
Who can apply: voluntary or community organisations, statutory organisations.
Funding priorities: you are more likely to get funding if you do one of the aims below well, rather than a little of everything.
Aims: to improve relationships between people with different life experiences, to help people and communities who find it difficult to meet face-to-face to make meaningful connections online, to help people from all backgrounds to influence the future of their communities, to help children and young people facing specific challenges change the systems that affect them and to help more organisations to involve children and young people.

Old Possums Practical Trust
Funding amount and term: between £500 and £5,000.
Funding for: projects that aim to increase knowledge and appreciation of any matters of historic, artistic, architectural, aesthetic, literary, musical or theatrical interest.

Funding priorities: projects that involve children or young people, disabled or disadvantaged people and communities and those projects which fall within historic, artistic, architectural, aesthetic, literary, musical or theatrical criteria and which enhance the lives of others.

One Stop Community Partnership Programme
Funding amount and term: grants of up to £1,000.
Funding for: a new or ongoing project in partnership with a community group’s One Stop store.
Who can apply: local community groups.
Funding priorities: food poverty, the vulnerable and elderly, low-income families, sports teams, local environment and reducing waste.
Any other information: funding is designed to support community groups or organisations operating within two miles of a One Stop store.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation Arts-Based Learning Fund
Funding amount and term: from £30,000 up to £100,000 a year.
Funding for: projects that enhance the lives, development and achievements of children and young people through high-quality arts-based learning activities.
Who can apply: arts and cultural organisations working in partnership with educational settings.
Funding priorities: applications are welcomed from organisations led by people most impacted by oppression, including racism, ableism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and/or transphobia.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund
Funding amount and term: up to £150,000 spread over three years.
Funding for: to support young people who face complex transitions to adulthood.
Who can apply: groups and organisations supporting disadvantaged young people aged 14 to 25 years of age.
Funding priorities: applications are particularly welcomed from organisations led by people most impacted by racism, ableism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and/or transphobia.
Any other information: grants can be for young people who face challenging situations such as being in or out of education, care settings, housing, prison or youth detention accommodation.
